Ruler of Sharjah launches second phase of AED400 million Khor Fakkan-Shes-Dafta Road

WAM SHARJAH, May 16th, 2013 (WAM)– H. H. Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah launched the second phase of Khor Fakkan – Shes – Dafta Road Project at a cost of AED400 million. He also ordered the payment of AED10 million to Khor Fakkan city’s municipality.

As part of his programme of visits to towns and areas in the Emirate of Sharjah to assess conditions of citizens there, Sheikh Sultan visited Shes and Nahwa areas, where he met with officials and citizens. He instructed the officials there to meet the needs of the citizens and implement directives in this respect.

The citizens of Shes and Nahwa welcomed the Ruler of Sharjah, expressing their pleasure with his visit and his care for them.

Sheikh Sultan toured existing projects along with others under construction. He opened the Shes Health Centre and ordered the construction of an heliport in Shes for emergency cases.

He was briefed about the paving of internal roads, housing projects and the construction of new residential units for citizens in the areas. Sheikh Sultan was also briefed about the work progress of the Khor Fakkan – Shes – Dafta road project.

The Ruler of Sharjah ordered the construction and paving of a number of roads. He also instructed the naming of a square in Khor Fakkan City after the late Abdullah Ali Ahmed Al Mansouri.

Sheikh Sultan was accompanied during his tour by Sheikh Khalid bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Department of Public Works in Sharjah, Sheikh Salem bin Abdul Rahman Al Qasimi, Director General of the Sharjah Ruler’s office and other senior officials.
