Settlers attack shepherds, farmers and homes in a village near Bethlehem causing injuries, panic

BETHLEHEM, Israeli settlers today attacked Palestinian shepherds, farmers and homes in the village of Kisan, east of the southern West Bank city of Bethlehem, causing injuries and panic, according to a local official.

Member of Kisan village council, Nabil Ibayyat, told WAFA that five armed settlers, protected by soldiers, attacked shepherds and farmers with pepper spray causing burns to the face, and threw stones at homes.

He said the attacks caused panic in the village, mainly among children.

Kisan faces daily aggression from settlers and soldiers who try to push shepherds and farmers out of the village and area in order to take it over for settlement expansion.
