Settlers set up caravans on land belonging to Palestinians in Hebron, a prelude to taking over the land

HEBRON, Israeli settlers today evening set up a number of caravans and a tent on Palestinian-owned land in the Wadi Sair area to the northeast of Hebron, according to local sources.

Sources told WAFA that a number of settlers stormed land belonging to the Shalaldeh family in Wadi Sair area and set up caravans and a tent in an apparent prelude to taking over the land for the benefit of establishing a new settlement outpost there.

The establishment of settlements on the West Bank violates international humanitarian law, which establishes the principles applied during war and occupation. Moreover, the settlements lead to the infringement of international human rights law, said the Israeli information center for human rights in occupied territories, B’Tselem.
