Two Palestinians injured in an Israeli raid of Al-Bireh

RAMALLAH, Two Palestinian teenagers sustained injuries by Israeli gunfire last night, one of them seriously, during clashes with the Israeli occupation forces who raided the city of Al-Bireh, in the center of the occupied West Bank, local sources said.

The Israeli soldiers fired rubber-coated rounds and teargas canisters during the clashes in the city, injuring two Palestinian teens, aged 16 both. One of the two teens was hit with a bullet in the head, and his condition was described as serious. The teen is undergoing a surgery for his injury at Palestine Medical Center in Ramallah.

During the raid, the Israeli occupation army raided several homes in the city, but no arrests were reported.

Earlier last night, the occupation army detained at least one Palestinian civilian from of Qatanna town, northwest of occupied Jerusalem, while he was attempting to cross a temporary Israeli checkpoint set up at the entrance to the neighboring village of Biddu.

Almost on a daily basis, Israeli occupation forces carry out raids targeting populated Palestinian communities for arrests or searches. The practice, mostly carried out at nighttime, has become a routine under Israeli military regime.
