UAE government is the first government in the world to launch national standard for its distinguished services

WAM Dubai, Apr 14th, 2013 (WAM)–In a move designed to improve the government services, develop, enhance customer satisfaction and standardise the quality of the procedures in government agencies, the Cabinet Office at the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs has launched in conjunction with Emirates Metrology and Standards Authority (ESMA), UAE standards for distinguished government service.

The government standard service, the first of its kind worldwide, includes a number of measures and guidelines based on practical studies and comparative criteria for the best world practices in the area of development and provision of the government practices through the service centres at the federal agencies.

Ohood Al Roumi, Director-General of the Prime Minister’s Office at the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs said the launch of this project aims to consolidate service performance quality and ensure provision of services that even exceed expectations of customers, noting that these are the outstanding practices to further develop and upgrade the government services in line with the UAE Vision 2012.

She added that the government standard service was designed to serve the citizen in line with the directives by the UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, which were chalked out at the Government Summit, noting that by doing so the UAE government has become the first government to launch the standard for the distinguished government services.
