UN official says 47 kids affected by school demolition order

RAMALLAH, The UN Humanitarian Coordinator in the occupied Palestinian territory, Lynn Hastings, expressed today her worries over an Israeli High Court’s ruling ordering the demolition of a donor funded school in Khashm al-Karm village, south of Hebron.

She said the ruling, expected to be implemented after January 28, affects 47 Palestinian kids in the village.

“The UN calls on the Government of Israel to fulfil its international obligations to ensure Palestinians can have safe access to education,” Hastings tweeted.
