Weather: Cloudy, cold with rain expected in most areas

RAMALLAH, Palestine is expected to be affected today by a state of atmospheric instability, with partly cloudy, relatively cold to cold conditions in the mountainous areas, and a drop in temperature to become below its seasonal average. Sporadic rain showers are expected over most areas, which may be accompanied by thunderstorms at times, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Winds are westerly to southwesterly, moderate, and sometimes active, and sea waves are low to medium.

Temperature in the capital, Jerusalem, and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 16°C and a low of 10°C, and in Ramallah and Hebron a high of 15°C and a low of 9°C are expected. In Jericho, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan Valley temperature is expected to reach a high of 24°C and a low of 15°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 20°C and a low of 15°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

Partly cloudy and relatively cold to cold conditions in the mountainous areas are expected tomorrow, Wednesday, with a slight rise in temperature to become around its annual average, with a chance of scattered rain over some areas.

No change in temperature is expected on Thursday, but a rise in temperatures is expected for Friday, said the PMD.
