RAMALLAH, Maj. Gen. Ziad Hab al-Reeh and Sheikh Hatem al-Bakri were sworn-in today by President Mahmoud Abbas as Minister of the Interior and Minster of Awqaf and Religious Affairs respectively.

The swearing-in ceremony, held at the Presidential Headquarters in Ramallah, in the center of the West Bank, was attended by Prime Minister Muhammad Shtayyeh, Adviser to the President for Diplomatic Affairs Majdi Al-Khalidi, and Adviser to the President for Legal Affairs Ali Muhanna.

The portfolios of the two ministries had been held by Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh ever since he assumed office in April 2019.
