2 Died, 30 Injured in German Hospital Fire

Ludwigslust: Two people died and more than 30 others injured today in a hospital fire in northern Germany.

According to Oman News Agency, local authorities stated that a fire broke out in the roof structure of a hospital in Ludwigslust, resulting in the death of two people and injury to more than 30 others, though none suffered serious injuries.

Evacuation of patients and staff from the building is still ongoing, the authorities added, noting that the total number of people evacuated remains unclear.

The hospital has 160 beds. It is the only hospital in Ludwigslust and provides basic and standard medical care for the region.
