A group of 744 elite Arab lawyers, intellectuals, and academics has sent a memorandum to UN Secretary-General, António Guterres, urging the UN to adopt a new resolution recognizing Zionism as a form of racism. The memorandum cited Israel's alleged war crimes, genocide, and forced displacement in Gaza over the past nine months. It also referenced UN General Assembly Resolution 3379 of 1975, which labeled Zionism as racism, and criticized its 1991 repeal, attributing it to global power shifts and U.S. dominance. Moreover, the memo argues that recent Israeli actions reinforce the need for renewed condemnation and accountability. Source: National News Agency - Lebanon
