Paris Ali Abdullah Khalifa, the Secretary General of the Isa Award for Service to Humanity, met with Jack Lang, President of the Arab World Institute and Former Minister of Education of France. The meeting came at the instructions of His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, the Special Representative of His Majesty the King and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Award and within the framework of the preparations for the sixth edition of the award. The board has reviewed the names and works of the applicants for the award and referred them to the jury committee. As part of the preparations, a plan has been devised to organise cultural and media activities, as well as intellectual and artistic events, at major public venues in different capitals worldwide in order to raise awareness about the award and its humanitarian services. During the meeting, discussions took place regarding the coordination and cooperation between the Isa Award for Service to Humanity and the Arab World Institute, pa rticularly concerning the organisation of intellectual, cultural, and artistic activities. Previous winners of the award will be invited to share their experiences and humanitarian work from previous editions. Source: Bahrain News Agency
