China's Xie Yu held his nerve to seize Olympic gold in the men's 10 metre air pistol competition after edging out two Italians today. On her turn, South Korea's Oh Ye Jin, 19, won gold with an Olympic record 243.2 points on her Games debut ahead of compatriot Kim Ye Ji and India's Manu Bhaker. The 24-year-old Xie, also in his first Games, amassed 240.9 as Federico Nilo Maldini shot 240.0 for silver.
