Lebanese Army Commander, General Joseph Aoun, on Thursday received at his Yarzeh office, the Italian Joint Operations Commander, General Francesco Paolo Figliuolo. Discussions reportedly touched on ways to enhance cooperation between the armies of the two countries. On the other hand, Army Commander Aoun and Dr. Josette Najjar, Director of the Fondation Mérieux, signed a memorandum of understanding between the Army and the Foundation for cooperation in building and operating a primary health care center in the Baalbek-Hermel Governorate. This cooperation aims to enhance health care services for military personnel, their families and civilians in the province. Maj. Gen. Aoun expressed his appreciation for the Fondation Mérieux's initiative and its solidarity with the military institution.
