The Islamic Resistance in Lebanon said in a statement issued on Thursday that its fighters targeted Israeli soldiers stationed near the Ghajar area on Thursday, August 22, 2024. 'The attack was carried out in support of the resilient Palestinian people in Gaza and in response to Israeli aggression against southern Lebanese villages and civilian homes,' the statement read, adding that 'the attack inflicted direct hits, resulting in both casualties and injuries among Israeli soldiers.'
