Prime Minister Najib Mikati issued a memorandum this evening, declaring official mourning for the passing of former PM Salim al-Hoss. The statement said: "Official mourning is declared for the passing of former Prime Minister, Dr. Salim al-Hoss, who passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2024," adding that "the Lebanese flag will be at half-mast in all official departments, institutions, and municipalities in mourning for three days, starting tomorrow, Monday, until Wednesday, August 28, 2024, inclusive, and regular programs on radio and television stations will be modified accordingly."
