Manama: Bahraini daily newspapers today highlighted several significant local events that unfolded over the past 24 hours. Among the notable engagements, HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister held discussions with heads of delegations at the "Hope Network" and met with the Executive Chairman of Investcorp. Additionally, there was a telephone conversation between HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the United States Secretary of Defense, and other diplomatic interactions involving the Foreign Minister who received both the British and US Ambassadors. According to Bahrain News Agency, HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad inaugurated the World Paralympic Athletics (WPA) in Bahrain, emphasizing the kingdom's commitment to sports and inclusion. The Health Minister marked Bahraini Doctor's Day, celebrating the contributions of doctors, while also engaging with a UNFPA representative. The Education Minister hosted a meeting with his counterpart from Cyprus, and the Housing Minister led Bahrain's delegation at the twelf th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF12). Under the patronage of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad, the Social Development Minister opened the first regional conference on disability education and training. The Youth Minister inaugurated the "Hope in Action" exhibition, highlighting the importance of the Charter of Hope. The Tourism Minister participated in the World Travel Market, and the Saudi Sports Minister visited the Bahrain National Museum. Further activities included the Director-General of Bilateral Relations attending a reception by the Japanese embassy, the Chairman of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs participating in a global summit for religious leaders, and the Chairman of the Supreme Council for Health commending support for the Bahraini healthcare system.
