Muscat: The Board of Trustees of the Academy for Strategic and Defence Studies at Bait Al Falaj Garrison today held its annual meeting under the chairmanship of HH Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs and Chairman of the Board of Trustees. According to Oman News Agency, the meeting was attended by key figures including HH Sayyid Dr. Fahd Al Julanda Al Said, Vice Chancellor of Sultan Qaboos University, and Sayyid Bad Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister. Other notable attendees included Lt. Gen Hassan Mohsin Al Shuraiqi, Inspector General for Police and Customs, and Dr. Rahma Ibrahim Al Mahrouqi, Minister of Higher Education, Research and Innovation. The meeting also saw the presence of Dr. Said Mohammed Al Saqri, Minister of Economy, Maj. Gen Sulaiman Khalid Al Zakwani, Secretary General of Military Affairs at the Royal Office, and Maj. Gen Hamid Ahmed Sakroon, Chairman of the Academy for Strategic and Defence Studies. Commodore Khalid Amer Al Salti, Director General of S tudies and Academic Affairs at the Academy for Strategic and Defence Studies, served as the meeting's rapporteur. At the outset of the meeting, HH Sayyid Shihab welcomed the board members and expressed hope that the meeting would yield results that align with the academy's objectives and mission. During the session, the members reviewed a number of topics listed on the agenda.
