Muscat: The Municipal Council of Muscat Governorate today held its 9th meeting of 2024 under the chairmanship of Sayyid Saud Hilal Al Busaidi, Governor of Muscat, Chairman of the Council. The meeting was convened to address several key issues concerning the governance and development of the Muscat region. According to Oman News Agency, the council reviewed the report of the Ministry of Social Development concerning the Committee of Child Protection in the governorate of Muscat. The report provided insights into the ongoing efforts and initiatives aimed at safeguarding children within the region. Additionally, the council approved the minutes of the 8th meeting and examined the action plan for 2025. Discussions also took place regarding the recommendations submitted by various committees on issues pertinent to the governorate. These discussions are expected to influence future development strategies and policies in Muscat.
