Brussels: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik arrived in Brussels this evening, marking the beginning of a three-day state visit to the Kingdom of Belgium. When the Royal Airplane entered Belgian airspace, it was accompanied by two military aircraft, a gesture signifying a warm welcome for His Majesty the Sultan. According to Oman News Agency, upon his arrival at the Brussels Military Airport (Melsbroek Air Base), a welcoming musical piece was performed as His Majesty descended the ramp. At the foot of the ramp, he was met by Tinne Van der Straeten, the Minister of Energy, along with other Belgian officials and members of the Omani embassy in Belgium. Following the reception, His Majesty proceeded through two rows of the Belgian Royal Guard of Honour. He then engaged in a cordial exchange, shaking hands with senior Belgian officials and military personnel who expressed their wishes for a pleasant stay for His Majesty and his delegation. His Majesty's motorcade, accompanied by a group of motorcycles, then departed the Brussels Military Airport, heading towards his residence at the Royal Castle of Laeken.
