Amman: The White House announced today that "the arrangement between Lebanon and Israel, monitored by the United States, will continue to be in effect until 18 February 2025."
According to Oman News Agency, the White House statement said that the governments of Lebanon, the Israeli entity, and the US "will also begin negotiations for the return of Lebanese prisoners captured after 7 October 2023."
The ceasefire agreement that entered into force on 27 November 2024, stipulates the withdrawal of the Israeli occupation from the Lebanese territories it occupied after 60 days from the entry into force of the agreement.
