Muscat: Qais Mohammed Al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, held a meeting in Muscat today with Sheikh Faisal Thani Al Thani, Minister of Commerce and Industry in the State of Qatar. The meeting explored means of enhancing joint cooperation in the economic, trade, and investment areas. According to Oman News Agency, the two sides also discussed ways of promoting mutual investments by addressing the recommendations of the Qatari-Omani Investment Forum, held in the State of Qatar, and following up on the implementation of memoranda of understanding to attract Qatari investments in various fields. The discussions further included means of augmenting the volume of trade exchange by organizing joint trade fairs to promote national products of both countries and enhance maritime transport between Oman and Qatar. The meeting was attended by a number of officials from both sides.
