Beirut: General Joseph Aoun, President of the Lebanese Republic, welcomed Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, at the Republican Palace in Beirut today. The meeting marks a significant diplomatic engagement between Lebanon and Oman, focusing on fostering bilateral relations and mutual cooperation.
According to Oman News Agency, Sayyid Badr conveyed the greetings and well-wishes of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik to President Aoun. His Majesty expressed his desire for President Aoun's good health and well-being, alongside hopes for sustained progress and welfare for the Lebanese people. Furthermore, His Majesty emphasized the importance of the continued growth of Omani-Lebanese relations.
In response, President Aoun requested that Sayyid Badr relay his greetings and best wishes to His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and the people of Oman. He expressed optimism for the future of Oman-Lebanon relations, hoping for further progress and prosperity.
The meeting was also attended by Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Saidi, the Ambassador of Oman to Lebanon, and several officials from both countries, highlighting the importance of the diplomatic discussions between the two nations.
