Muscat: The Sultan Qaboos Higher Centre for Culture and Science at the Diwan of Royal Court today announced the opening of nominations for the 12th edition of the Sultan Qaboos Award for Culture, Arts and Literature 2025. The award will recognize achievements in the categories of 'Private Cultural Institutions,' 'Sculpture,' and 'Autobiography.'

According to Oman News Agency, the award is a bi-yearly trophy presented in alternating years exclusively to Omanis and then to both Omanis and Arabs. The current edition invites participation from both groups. The Culture category will focus on 'Private Cultural Institutions,' the Arts category will spotlight 'Sculpture,' and the Literature category will honor works in 'Autobiography.'
