Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik today exchanged Eid Al Fitr greetings through phone calls with several regional leaders, including Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, King Hamad bin Issa Al Khalifa of Bahrain, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Mishal Al Ahmed Al Jaber Al Sabah, Emir of Kuwait, King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein of Jordan, President Abdul Fattah el Sisi of Egypt, and Shehbaz Sharif, Prime Minister of Pakistan.
According to Oman News Agency, during the phone calls, His Majesty conveyed his sincere sentiments and best wishes on this blessed occasion, wishing the leaders a happy Eid. He expressed hopes for the return of this occasion at a time when their countries enjoy goodness and stability. Additionally, His Majesty extended his wishes for peace, progress, and prosperity to Muslims worldwide.
In response, the leaders conveyed their heartfelt greetings to His Majesty, wishing him a happy Eid and good health. They also expressed their hopes for further progress for the Omani people and emphasized their wishes for stability and welfare for the Muslim nation.
