Kuwait City: The Sultanate of Oman took part in the 28th meeting of the GCC Ministers of Municipal Affairs, hosted in the State of Kuwait. The meeting aimed at enhancing joint municipal efforts among GCC countries.

According to Oman News Agency, Oman's delegation was led by Sayyid Saud Hilal Al Busaidi, Governor of Muscat. The agenda focused on various important issues, including follow-ups on Council decisions regarding urban environments, strategic urban planning, and the GCC Building Code.

The meeting also explored the development of municipal legislation and oversight mechanisms. Discussions included a joint municipal action plan for the years 2024-2030 and strategies for cooperation with specialized organizations in municipal affairs. Additionally, the agenda featured topics like the Gulf Municipal Week events, the Municipal Work Conference, and the GCC Award for Municipal Work.
