Oil Eases After Rising to 2-Week High

London: Oil prices today edged down, after surging nearly 2% in the previous session. Brent crude futures fell 16 cents, or 0.23%, to $68.64 per barrel, while West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures also lost 16 cents, or 0.25%, to $64.64. Both contracts rose to their highest in over two weeks on Monday.

According to Oman News Agency, the recent fluctuations in oil prices come after a significant rise observed earlier in the week. The decline in prices today represents a slight correction following the nearly 2% increase seen in the prior trading session.

Brent crude and WTI are key benchmarks in the global oil market, and their recent price movements are being closely monitored by traders and analysts. The adjustments in prices reflect ongoing market dynamics and potential shifts in supply and demand.
