Muscat: The number of visitors to the Khareef Dhofar (monsoon) season from 21 June to 15 August reached 827,115, marking a 2.1% increase compared to the same period in 2024, when the number stood at 810,085. These figures are based on preliminary estimates of Khareef Dhofar 2025 visitors released by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI).

According to Oman News Agency, the preliminary statistics revealed a significant growth in the number of Omani visitors, which increased by 71.5%, reaching a total of 591,577. In addition, visitors from other GCC countries totaled 143,431, while those from other nationalities numbered 92,107.

A substantial number of visitors, totaling 639,962, arrived in Dhofar Governorate via land ports by 15 August 2025. Meanwhile, air travel saw a 15.5% increase, with 187,153 visitors arriving by air.

It is noteworthy that a significant portion, 46.5%, of all visitors to the Khareef Dhofar season arrived during the period from 1 August to 15 August 2025.
