A'rustaq: The Ministry of Social Development, represented by the Directorate General of Social Development in South Al Batinah Governorate, has signed a memorandum of cooperation with Al Amal International Hospital in A'Rustaq. The agreement aims to deliver psychological and rehabilitation services for senior citizens at the Social Care Home and individuals at the Al Wafa Center for the Rehabilitation of Disabled Persons in A'Rustaq.
According to Oman News Agency, the memorandum was signed by Maimouna Salim Al Mundhiri, Director General of Social Development in South Al Batinah Governorate, and Nadeem Yusuf Al Balushi, Chairman of the Hospital's Board of Directors. This partnership underscores the Ministry of Social Development's commitment to fostering community partnerships in integrated care and psychological support, aligning with its vision to provide services that promote mental health among its care groups through collaboration with governmental, civil, and private entities.
The agreement mandates Al Amal International Hospital to provide assessment, follow-up, and psychological care for residents of the Social Care Home and those requiring support at the Al Wafa Center. It also includes offering free consultations for parents and guardians, supporting cases referred by the Directorate General of Social Development in South Al Batinah Governorate, and participating in workshops and educational and awareness programs for various segments under the Ministry's care.
Additionally, the hospital will offer urgent intervention for emergencies and appropriate treatment plans. Special discounts are also part of the agreement: Omani citizens with referral letters will receive a 20% discount on rehabilitation services, while seniors and people with disabilities will receive a 25% discount on outpatient clinic fees.
