North a'sharqiyah: The Municipal Council in North A'Sharqiyah Governorate today held a meeting during which it discussed means of developing municipal services and enhancing development indicators in the governorate. It also studied the replies of government departments to proposals submitted by the council's committees.
According to Oman News Agency, the meeting was chaired by Mahmoud bin Yahya Al Dhuhli, Governor of North A'Sharqiyah, who is also the Chairman of the Municipal Council. The meeting reviewed the tasks of its standing committees and the panels' recommendations for improving the level of public services, supporting the quality of life, and assessing the conditions of service facilities.
The meeting included a visual presentation on performance indicators and plans related to the sectors of housing and urban planning during the current 5-year period (2021-2025), as well as the progress made in housing projects, land regulation, and urban planning.
In addition, the meeting discussed the challenges posed to some of the Governorate's programmes and reviewed the draft annual plan for 2026.
