Muscat: "Invest Oman", represented by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, will begin its visit to the Republic of South Africa tomorrow, Monday, to hold the "Advantage Oman - South Africa" business dialogue. The goal is to enhance investment partnerships and explore economic cooperation opportunities between the two countries.
According to Oman News Agency, this visit comes within the framework of the Sultanate of Oman's direction towards expanding its network of international partnerships and strengthening investment relations with one of the most important industrial economies in the African continent.
The dialogue will gather an elite group of major investors, CEOs, and leading South African companies, focusing on four key sectors: mining, agriculture, manufacturing, and information technology. This is intended to showcase promising investment opportunities in the Sultanate of Oman and enhance bilateral cooperation in priority areas.
The "Advantage Oman - South Africa" business dialogue will provide a direct platform for communication between the Omani business community and their counterparts in South Africa. The Omani delegation will deliver comprehensive presentations on the competitive advantages of the Sultanate of Oman, including its strategic geographic location, political and economic stability, supportive legislative environment, as well as government incentives and major ongoing projects that enhance the Sultanate of Oman's competitiveness as a regional investment hub.
It is worth noting that the volume of trade exchange between the Sultanate of Oman and South Africa reflects a promising economic base for cooperation. Omani exports to South Africa reached approximately RO 17.1 million until June 2025, compared to RO 17.2 million in imports, in addition to RO 4.36 million in re-exports, which enhances the opportunities for developing partnerships in various sectors during the coming period.
