Muscat: Represented by the State Financial and Administrative Audit Authority, the Sultanate of Oman today observed International Anti-Corruption Day 2025. The event, held annually on 9 December, focuses this year on the theme 'Uniting with Youth Against Corruption: Shaping Tomorrow's Integrity'. This campaign builds on the momentum from 2024.

According to Oman News Agency, Shabib bin Nasser bin Khalfan Al Busaidi, Director General of Legal Affairs and Head of the Integrity Promotion and Anti-Corruption Committee at the State Financial and Administrative Audit Authority, highlighted that this day provides an opportunity for countries to focus on combating corruption and promoting integrity across all sectors. He emphasized the importance of raising awareness among young people about the risks of corruption and leveraging their role in promoting integrity.

Al Busaidi noted that since Oman's accession to the United Nations Convention against Corruption in 2013, the State Financial and Administrative Audit Authority has been collaborating with relevant departments to meet international standards by adopting best practices. The Authority has been actively involved in establishing an integrated system to consolidate integrity in society, updating legislation, and preparing the National Integrity Plan. The implementation and impact of this plan are being monitored in cooperation with the Oman Vision 2040 Implementation Follow-up Unit.
