North a'sharqiyah: The Directorate General of Health Services in North A'Sharqiyah Governorate organized the Second National Clinical Audit Forum. The event saw the participation of more than 150 specialists in clinical auditing, healthcare professionals, and medical staff from various health institutions across the governorates of the Sultanate of Oman. According to Oman News Agency, the forum was held under the auspices of Dr. Ahmed Salim Al Mandhari, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health for Health Planning and Regulation. It featured the presentation of 70 clinical audit projects from various Directorates General of Health Services across Oman. These projects focused on enhancing the quality of healthcare, evaluating and improving health performance, and ensuring compliance with medical standards and patient safety. They also addressed the development of health cadres through training programs and continuing medical education, in addition to utilizing modern technologies to improve care quality and em phasizing the dissemination of audit results and recommendations to enhance performance in the field of medical clinical auditing. Furthermore, the forum included the presentation of six scientific research papers. These papers collectively addressed the tracer methodology in evaluating clinical audit practices in medical care, reviewed methods for measuring clinical data and statistics, and discussed improving patient safety. The papers also covered enhancing community participation in healthcare and discussed medical standards and guidelines in clinical operations.
