Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik met with the Chairman and members of the Shura Council Office at Al Barakah Palace today. His Majesty expressed gratitude for the blessings and abundance granted to Oman and its people and prayed for continued prosperity and well-being.

According to Oman News Agency, His Majesty praised the Shura Council’s progress and effectiveness in supporting national development and strategic initiatives. He highlighted the significance of the Council’s proposals in advancing national interests and aligning with state strategies.

His Majesty expressed satisfaction with the collaboration between the government and the Shura Council, acknowledging it as a crucial partner in the state’s operations. The Basic Law of the State and the Council of Oman Law grant the Shura Council significant powers to achieve its objectives. His Majesty stressed the need for enhanced cooperation to prioritize national interests and citizen welfare.

His Majesty underscored the role of the Shura Council in raising public awareness about challenges and goals, while emphasizing the importance of preserving national achievements. The meeting was attended by senior officials, including Dr. Hamad bin Said Al Aufi, Sheikh Al Fadhl bin Mohammed Al Harthy, and Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Saeedi.
