HM The Sultan Ratifies Agreements with Spain and C´te d’Ivoire

Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik today issued two Royal decrees ratifying key international agreements.

According to Oman News Agency, the first of these decrees, Royal Decree No. 3/2026, concerns the ratification of an agreement between the Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom of Spain. This agreement facilitates a mutual visa waiver for holders of diplomatic, special, and service passports. The agreement was initially signed in Madrid on 5 November 2025. Article (1) of the decree formalizes the ratification of this agreement, while Article (2) mandates its publication in the Official Gazette and enforcement from the date of issuance.

The second decree, Royal Decree No. 4/2026, pertains to the ratification of an Air Services agreement between the government of the Sultanate of Oman and the government of the Republic of C´te d'Ivoire. This agreement was signed in Montreal on 22 September 2025. Similar to the first decree, Article (1) ratifies the agreement, and Article (2) requires its publication in the Official Gazette and enforcement from the date of issuance.
