Musandam: Her Highness the Honorable Lady Assayida Ahd Abdullah Hamed Al Busaidi, spouse of the Sultan of Oman, today paid a visit to the Governorate of Musandam. The visit underscored the ongoing development efforts in the region, particularly in the tourism and cultural sectors.
According to Oman News Agency, the Honorable Lady's itinerary included a stop at Bassa Beach Park in the Wilayat of Khasab, a notable tourism and development project serving as a recreational hub for residents and visitors. This park exemplifies the developmental strides being made within the governorate's tourism sector.
In addition to the park, the Honorable Lady explored the 'Zaree Khasab' Exhibition Project initiative and the Craft House outlet, affiliated with the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority. Here, she observed a variety of handicrafts, artisanal works, and jewelry, all crafted by local artisans. These works are a testament to the rich cultural heritage of Musandam, reflecting the diversity of the local environment.
The visit continued with a tour of the Wilayat of Bukha, where the Honorable Lady visited a historic mosque, gaining insights into its civilizational and religious significance. The mosque highlights the enduring legacy of Islamic architecture in Oman.
In Khasab, she visited the Musandam Females Market, managed by the Omani Women's Association. The market's pavilions showcase the governorate's authentic heritage, social customs, and traditional lifestyles. During her visit, the Honorable Lady was briefed on the roles played by the Omani Women's Association in supporting families, empowering women, and enhancing community participation.
The Honorable Lady commended the initiatives aimed at preserving cultural heritage and fostering community development. Her visit was accompanied by Sayyid Ibrahim Said Al Busaidi, Governor of Musandam, and other officials.
