Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik has sent a cable of condolences to President Abdelmadjid Tebboune of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria on the death of former Algerian President Liamine Zeroual. In his message, His Majesty expressed his sincere sympathies to President Tebboune and the people of Algeria. His Majesty also prayed to Allah the Almighty to rest the deceased soul in peace in paradise.

According to Oman News Agency, the cable highlighted the strong ties between Oman and Algeria and underscored the mutual respect and solidarity that exist between the two nations. His Majesty's message is seen as a gesture of goodwill and empathy during this time of mourning for Algeria.
