Muscat: HH Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs, pinned aviation wings today at Al Murtafaa Camp on a number of graduating pilots of the Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO), after they successfully completed an integrated training program in various aviation specialties.
According to Oman News Agency, HH Sayyid Shihab also presented His Majesty the Sultan's Aviation Cup to Flying Officer Mohammed bin Said Al Kharousi for achieving first place overall in the aviation course. The prestigious ceremony highlighted the accomplishments of the graduating officers and their dedication to advancing their skills in aviation.
The pinning ceremony was attended by Dr. Mohammed bin Nasser Al Zaabi, Secretary General of the Ministry of Defence, and Air Vice Marshal Khamis bin Hammad Al Ghafri, Commander of the Royal Air Force of Oman. Their presence underscored the importance of the event and the commitment of Oman's leadership to strengthening its air force capabilities.
