Manila: Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Oman's Foreign Minister, engaged in crucial discussions with several international counterparts on the sidelines of the ASEAN Treaty of Amity and Cooperation's 50th-anniversary ministerial meeting. These interactions highlighted the Sultanate of Oman's commitment to fostering diplomatic ties and addressing pressing regional and international issues.

According to Oman News Agency, Sayyid Badr met with Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan, focusing on strengthening bilateral relations and enhancing cooperation across numerous fields. The dialogue underscored the importance of ongoing consultation and coordination to support mutual interests, particularly in terms of security and stability on both regional and international fronts.

In a separate meeting with Anita Anand, Foreign Minister of Canada, Sayyid Badr explored the potential to build upon existing bilateral cooperation. The ministers engaged in discussions about regional and international developments, aiming to enhance collaboration through consultation on critical matters of shared interest.

Sayyid Badr's dialogue with Dr. Badr Abdelatty, Egypt's Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Expatriates, further emphasized the deep-rooted relations between Oman and Egypt. The discussions focused on expanding bilateral cooperation and aligning views on regional and international developments, especially concerning navigation in the Strait of Hormuz. Both ministers expressed a commitment to de-escalating tensions and promoting peace to secure regional stability.

These strategic meetings were attended by Eng. Nasser bin Said Al Manwari, Omani Ambassador to the Republic of the Philippines, reinforcing Oman's proactive role in diplomatic engagements and international cooperation.
