Contract Signed to Establish Chemical Mixing, Oilfield Equipment Maintenance Project in Nizwa

Nizwa industrial city: Nizwa Industrial City, affiliated with the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates 'Madayn', has signed a long-term investment usufruct contract to establish a project focused on chemical mixing and oilfield equipment maintenance. The investment for this project exceeds RO 4 million.

According to Oman News Agency, the project will be situated on an area of over 25,000 square meters. It is anticipated to enhance industrial activities linked to the oil and gas sectors, while also localizing specialized services and projects in A'Dakhiliyah Governorate. Additionally, the project aims to support in-country value, as well as boost economic and industrial activities within the governorate.

This initiative aligns with Madayn's ongoing efforts to attract significant investments to industrial cities across the Sultanate of Oman. The aim is to cultivate an integrated industrial environment that supports economic diversification and fosters growth in the industrial sector.

The contract was finalized with Abdullah Said Al Balushi, Director General of Nizwa Industrial City, and Mohammed Hamad Al Junaibi, representing Rabou Haima Trading and Contracting Company, the executing company for the project.

The Director General emphasized that this project offers a qualitative addition to the existing activities within the city. It provides added value to the region, contributes to job creation, and diversifies industrial activities. Notably, the chemical mixing and oilfield equipment maintenance project is considered one of the specialized and rare projects in the governorate.

During the first half of this year, Nizwa Industrial City successfully signed over 17 investment contracts covering an area of more than 50,000 square meters, with total investments exceeding RO 12 million. These projects span various sectors, including medical supplies, oil and gas equipment maintenance, plastic industries, iron, metals, and chemicals.

The Omanisation rate in Nizwa Industrial City has surpassed 45 percent of the total workforce, which numbers more than 6,100 workers.
