Muscat: The Zakat Committee of the Wilayat of Al Musanna today celebrated the inauguration of the second charitable endowment building in the wilayat, under the patronage of Eng. Masoud Said Al Hashmi, Governor of South Al Batinah. The inauguration of the building follows the completion of its construction works, positioning it as a sustainable financial resource that bolsters the Committee's efforts in delivering aid and implementing charitable and social programmes and initiatives for eligible families. According to Oman News Agency, the opening ceremony featured a visual presentation outlining the project's implementation phases and the endeavours undertaken to complete it, alongside an introduction to the endowment building's facilities, components, and its commercial and residential units. The presentation also reviewed the Committee's track record in the wilayat and its flagship programmes and initiatives serving eligible families. The Committee further showcased a number of its projects and programme s executed over the past period, as well as the efforts exerted to develop the charitable work system and enhance endowment resources, in addition to its future plans and projects aimed at ensuring the sustainability of its operations. The project falls within the framework of Al Musanna Zakat Committee's endeavours to develop its endowment resources and reinforce the sustainability of its activities, thereby contributing to expanding the reach of zakat, charity, and social services programmes for eligible families.
