Muscat: Sayyid Saud Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth, met today with Sir Paul J. Foster, President of the Global Esports Federation. The meeting focused on the current state of gaming and esports, emphasizing their rapid global expansion and the potential for growth within the Sultanate of Oman. According to Oman News Agency, the discussions explored avenues for cooperation and expertise exchange in fields related to esports. Both parties expressed interest in developing the esports ecosystem, supporting national talent, and leveraging global expertise to create an environment conducive to the sector's growth. This includes expanding the base of practitioners and elevating Oman's presence in regional and international esports events and championships. The meeting was attended by Sabaa Said Al Busaidi, Chairperson of the Omani Gaming and Esports Committee, who played a key role in the discussions.
