North al batinah: A meeting was held today at the Office of the Governor of North Al Batinah to review performance indicators of government departments and to assess local administrative units across the governorate's wilayats.
According to Oman News Agency, the meeting, which was attended by Mohammed bin Sulaiman Al Kindi, Governor of North Al Batinah, discussed the outcome of a study on living conditions in North Al Batinah and a drive to align programmes of planning and projects with the community's actual needs and priorities.
In addition, the meeting reviewed the general concept of Sohar Festival and discussed the outcome of a survey on identifying key challenges facing government establishments in the governorate and proposals on helping public establishments perform their duties more efficiently.
The meeting also looked into indicators of the performance of government departments in North Al Batinah, the satisfaction of beneficiaries and opportunities for improving government services.
The participants issued recommendations on enhancing coordination between the branches of government units, forming joint task forces for priority sectors and accelerating digital transition and electronic integration, among other proposals.
