Dima wa al taeen: The Preliminary Qualifying Committee of the 34th Sultan Qaboos Holy Quran Competition, supervised by the Sultan Qaboos Higher Centre for Culture and Science at the Diwan of Royal Court, today visited the Wilayat of Dima Wa Al Taeen in North A'Sharqiyah Governorate. The visit is part of the competition's preliminary qualifiers for this year, during which the Committee listens to contestants from the Wilayat.
According to Oman News Agency, Yousuf Mohammed Al Balushi, Deputy Chairman of the Preliminary and Final Qualifying Committees, stated that the Committee has been diligently visiting competition centres across the governorates of the Sultanate of Oman, following the schedule that commenced in early August. So far, the Committee has visited 12 centres and evaluated 861 male and female contestants across the competition's seven levels.
Al Balushi further explained that the preliminary qualifiers are set to continue until 18 November. Contestants who advance from these rounds will enter the final qualifiers, with eight participants progressing from each level. The final qualifiers are slated to occur at the lecture hall of the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque in the Wilayat of Bausher, Muscat Governorate.
