Muscat: The Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO) and the University of Nizwa today signed a memorandum of cooperation (MoC) to facilitate the exchange of expertise, develop joint training and research programmes and foster participation in professional events. The agreement aims to blend practical expertise with academic knowledge, enhancing the skill set of both parties involved.
According to Oman News Agency, the MoC also sought to establish partnerships, develop national competencies, integrate specialized expertise with academic knowledge, and to support the objectives of Oman Vision 2040. This strategic collaboration is expected to yield significant benefits for both the academic and military sectors in Oman.
The MoC was signed by Air Commodore Khalid bin Mohammed Al Abri, Senior Staff Officer at RAFO Command, and Professor Dr. Ahmed Khalfan Al Rawahi, Vice-Chancellor of Nizwa University. This partnership represents a significant step forward in fostering collaboration between military and educational institutions in the region.
