Empty Quarter Border Crossing Marks Saudi National Day

A'dhahirah: The Sultanate of Oman joined the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia today in celebrating its National Day at an event organized by the Secretariat General for National Celebrations, in cooperation with the Royal Oman Police, at the Empty Quarter 'Al Rub' Al Khali' border crossing in A'Dhahirah Governorate, which links the Sultanate of Oman with the Saudi land border. According to Oman News Agency, the celebration was held under the patronage of Brigadier Ali Moosa Al Kindi, Commander of A'Dhahirah Governorate Police, in the presence of Ibrahim bin Saad bin Bishan, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Sultanate of Oman. It featured a number of artistic performances and activities embodying the depth of the solid relations binding the two countries. The ceremony commenced with musical pieces performed by the Royal Army of Oman band, alongside a visual presentation showcasing the depth of the steadfast relations between the two countries, a lyrical tableau entitled "The Sultanate and the Kingdom o f Saudi Arabia," and a Razha folk arts performance presented by a folk arts troupe. The celebration also included a performance entitled "From My Country Oman to Saudi Arabia," a participation by the Saudi folk arts troupe, a paragliding display, and a collection of sung folk tableaux, as well as the Al Azi and Al Ayyala arts. It is worth noting that the celebration of Saudi National Day reflects the depth of the profound fraternal bonds and ties of affection connecting the two countries and peoples, and embodies the relations of joint cooperation between them across various fields. The celebration was attended by a number of officials from the Omani and Saudi sides.
