Omani Delegation Engages in Arab Finance Ministers Meeting in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi:The Sultanate of Oman attended the 17th annual meeting of the Arab Finance Ministers Council in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

According to Oman News Agency, the Omani delegation was led by Sultan Salim Al Habsi, Minister of Finance. The meeting focused on enhancing coordination and cooperation among Arab states, addressing economic and financial challenges, and exchanging expertise on recent developments.

Key topics at the meeting included fiscal policies in Arab states, the role of artificial intelligence in tax administration, and sustainable financing for infrastructure. Participants also reviewed tax decision implementations and strategies to bolster Arab financial and economic cooperation.

Sultan Salim Al Habsi, along with Ahmed Jaafar Al Musalmi, Governor of the Central Bank of Oman, and officials from the Ministry of Finance and Central Bank of Oman, attended the fiftieth-anniversary celebration of the Arab Monetary Fund.

The delegation is set to participate in a workshop titled "Macroeconomic Resilience in the Context of Geopolitical Turbulence," which will explore the impact of geopolitical changes on economic stability and discuss strategies to strengthen the resilience of Arab economies.
