Colonists Enter Al-Aqsa Mosque Amid Restrictions

Jerusalem:Hundreds of colonists entered the Al-Aqsa Mosque today through the Mughrabi Gate, under the protection of Israeli forces, where they performed rituals and prayers.

According to Oman News Agency, these events took place in the courtyards of the mosque with the protection of the occupation police. The colonists also reportedly attacked Palestinians in Bab Al-Amoud, with videos of these incidents shared on social media. The incursion aligns with increased military measures and restrictions on worshippers around the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Old City.

Throughout September 2026, there have been repeated incursions into Al-Aqsa Mosque, with the most recent involving 1,731 colonists. Jerusalem Governorate data indicates that over 40,661 colonists have entered the mosque from the beginning of 2026 until the end of August, and around 800 decisions to remove Jerusalemites from the mosque have been issued from the beginning of the year until early September.
