Muscat:The Sultanate of Oman took part in the 36th meeting of the GCC Ministers of Justice, which was convened in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
According to Oman News Agency, Oman was represented by Dr. Abdullah Mohammed Al Saeedi, Minister of Justice and Legal Affairs, along with several ministry officials.
The meeting focused on enhancing judicial and legal cooperation among GCC States. Key topics included a policy for strengthening collaboration between the ministries of justice and an initiative from Bahrain's Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments to create an electronic platform for exchanging judicial notices and notifications.
Further discussions addressed the Committee of Directors and Heads of Judicial and Legal Training Centres and Institutes, the draft unified rules for combating IT crimes, and a report on the meetings of the Committee of Officials of International Cooperation and International Relations Departments in the justice ministries of the member states for 2026.
