Sohar:The first international conference titled "Readings in Juvenile Literature" commenced today in the Wilayat of Sohar, North Al Batinah Governorate. This two-day event is organized by Sohar University in collaboration with the Oman Society for Writers and Literati.
According to Oman News Agency, Dr. Ali bin Salim Al Man'ee, Chairman of the Organizing Committee, emphasized that the conference aims to raise awareness about scholarly research and culture, preserve national memory, revive heritage, and promote intergenerational integration. It also seeks to encourage researchers and innovative talents to engage with the community.
The conference features 35 specialized research papers that highlight the interdisciplinary nature of juvenile literature, intersecting with fields such as language, education, culture, identity, memory, science, and technology. Dr. Ali stated that this diversity offers a broad platform for scholarly dialogue and the exchange of insights among researchers and specialists.
The event was inaugurated under the patronage of Sheikh Saud bin Mohammed Al Hinai, Wali of Sohar.
