London:Arsenal has announced the extension of manager Mikel Arteta's contract until June 2030. The Spanish coach, who took over in 2019, successfully led the club to its first English Premier League (EPL) title in 22 years last season.
According to Oman News Agency, Arteta has been instrumental in restoring Arsenal to the European elite. Under his leadership, the club ended a six-year absence from the UEFA Champions League and secured an FA Cup victory in his first season.
Arteta expressed that continuing his journey with Arsenal is "a great honour" and praised the opportunity to work with exceptional talents who share his ambition for the club. He described Arsenal as unique in its identity and expressed pride in continuing this shared journey.
